The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un invited Sergei Shoigu, Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation, to the building of the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea to have a cordial talk and a luncheon with him.

Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the WPK and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, invited Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu, head of the military delegation of the Russian Federation on a congratulatory visit to the DPRK on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War, to the building of the headquarters of the Central Committee of the WPK on the morning of July 27.

He posed for a photo with Sergei Shoigu as a token of meeting with him at the building of the headquarters and had a talk in a comradely atmosphere in his office room.

He made concrete and frank discussions with Sergei Shoigu about the important issues of mutual concern between the two countries.

He expressed the estimation and principled stand of our Party and government as regards the fast-changing situation of international security and the military and political situation in the region of the Korean peninsula, and exchanged many opinions with Sergei Shoigu.

At the talk, some issues were seriously discussed for further developing the strategic and tactical cooperation and collaboration between the two countries in the field of national defence and security.

Then, Kim Jong Un had a luncheon with Sergei Shoigu.

Sergei Shoigu expressed his heartfelt thanks to Kim Jong Un for paying special attention to the Pyongyang visit of himself and the military delegation of the Russian Federation and according warm hospitality to them.
