The Seventh Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea was called in the Headquarters building of the Party Central Committee on February 26.
The plenary meeting will analyze and sum up the work of 2022, the first year of implementing the programme on the rural revolution in the new era and discuss and decide on the immediate major tasks, urgent tasks to be carried out at the present stage for national economic development and practical ways for their solution.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea, was present at the meeting.
Attending it were Kim Tok Hun and Jo Yong Won, Members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the WPK.
The meeting was also attended by members and alternate members of the Party Central Committee and is observed by officials of the Cabinet, ministries, national agencies and provincial, city and county-level leading organs, and officials in the field of agriculture and relevant sectors and units.
It is also observed by officials of the department concerned of the Party Central Committee via tele-conference system.
The meeting elected a presidium.
Kim Jong Un presided over the meeting.
The meeting passed the agenda items presented with unanimous approval and got to discussing the first agenda item.
It heard a report on the work of the first year of implementing the programme on the rural revolution in the new era.
