The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, visited the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, the highest institute of training party cadres, on October 17 to give a historic lecture noteworthy in the history of strengthening and development of the WPK.

A leading official of the school presented him with a fragrant bouquet.

Kim Jong Un was accompanied by Jo Yong Won, Ri Il Hwan, Kim Jae Ryong, Jon Hyon Chol and Pak Thae Song, Secretaries of the Central Committee of the WPK, and Ju Chang Il, Department Director of the Central Committee of the WPK.

He first praised the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK, which has performed a crucial mission as the pedigree establishment for training leading personnel in the glorious history of the Party, for making an active contribution to ensuring growth of the ranks of party officials. He had a picture taken with all the teaching staff and students, expressing the expectation that they would share the intention, will and practice with the Party Central Committee and strive more vigorously and more resolutely for the strengthening and development of the Party and the brilliant materialization of our programme for sacred struggle.

Kim Jong Un looked round the monument inscribed with the autograph of the great leader Kim Il Sung in the campus.

He said the precious autographic instructions written by the founder of the Party Kim Il Sung to the first graduates of the one-year class of the central party school in August 1948 are the immortal great proposition intensively representing the immutable guideline and principles which ran through the whole course of the party building and activities.

He stressed that when the students keep the proposition reflecting the character of the Workers’ Party and the essence of style of work deep in their hearts as the basis of their life and struggle, they can be trained as genuine officials of the Party who made the absolute and devoted service for the people an inveterate habit.

Kim Jong Un went round the room for education in revolutionary history and other places of the school to learn about its education.

He said it is the core issue related to the prospect of the Party to strengthen the education of the Central Cadres Training School. In order to confidently look ahead at its everlasting prosperity, our Party should renovate the work of the pedigree establishment for training the reserves of party officials in line with the demand of the changing era, who have the important mission and duty of turning out the hard core to carry on the party building from generation to generation, he added.

He expressed the resolve of the Party Central Committee to make the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK a university superior to other universities and powerfully promote the work of raising the educational level and enhancing the role of the party cadre-training institutions at all levels with it as a parent. And he called for making a big stride of innovating the educational work of the school for the eternal future of the Party with the significant day when the Korean revolution took root as a new start.

The respected Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea gave a historic lecture titled “On the Orientation of the Building of Our Party in the New Era and the Tasks of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK” to the teaching staff and students of the Central Cadres Training School.

He started his lecture with giving thanks to the teaching staff and students of the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK in the name of the Party Central Committee, who are striving to carry out their revolutionary tasks with the sacred mission of training the hard core of the Party at the time when the work to strengthen the great Party is further intensified than ever before and further emphasized as a crucial important task for the future of the Korean revolution.

He said the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK is the pedigree establishment for training party officials guided by the Party Central Committee directly, and continued:

A permanent school for training party officials was established for the first time in Korea on June 1, 1946, at the farsighted initiative of Kim Il Sung and under his leadership.

As a result, our Party came to have a powerful pedigree establishment which can systematically train the hard core and solve the theoretical and practical issues in depth from the beginning even in the complicated and difficult situation.

The Central Cadres Training School of the WPK has defended the organizational and ideological strengthening and leadership activities of the Party in educational practice and scientifically while constantly training its deft cadres and theorizing, synthesizing and systematizing the Party’s ideas, lines and policies presented according to the mission given in every chronicle of the revolution.

It is self-evident that the future itself is unthinkable far from carrying forward the Party’s idea and exploits if we fail to perfect the educational system to bring up the prominent reserves of the Party and so the reserves to shoulder the cause of the Party are not well prepared, no matter how great the revolutionary idea and exploits of our Party may be.

Kim Jong Un mentioned the necessity to attach new progressiveness and possibilities in the work of training cadres, the system of training the reserves of the Party.

He said the whole Party should intensify the education and struggle for always maintaining and giving full play to the noble idea and awareness at the beginning of the Party founding and at the same time, powerfully promote with responsibility the work of training party officials with the revolutionary discipline proper to our Party as an inveterate habit. He pointed out that at present the Party Central Committee has presented clear ideas and theories and policies to improve and strengthen the party building and activities stemming from the realistic demand of socialist construction and the inevitable requirement of the future development of the Juche revolution and is making great efforts to realize them.

He also said the important ideas and theories and practical experiences pursued, formulated and realized in the historic course of struggle for enhancing the guiding force, fighting efficiency and leadership art of the Party in conformity with the new era of the developing revolution should be actively applied to the work of training the party officials and scientifically synthesized and systematized and enriched without delay for the strengthening and prospective development of the whole Party. He stated the successes made by the Party in the course of its development over the past 10 years, the orientation of the party building in the new era and the tasks and ways to innovate the work of the school.

Kim Jong Un referred to the past 10-year-long struggle for strengthening the Party.

He said the continuity of the leadership is a fundamental issue in carrying forward the revolutionary cause, the cause of party building, and continued:

Our Party powerfully conducted the work to thoroughly establish the monolithic system of leadership amid the support of all its members at the crucial historic time of carrying forward the revolutionary cause of Juche. On the basis of it, the Party further cemented the single-minded unity of the Party and the people and thoroughly kept the monolithic ideology and leadership within the Party.

Our Party has defined the personnel affairs, the work of increasing party membership and the work of managing the party ranks as the three axes it should direct efforts to in strengthening the whole Party and more actively done the work of soundly building up and managing the ranks of cadres and the party ranks according to the new circumstances of struggle and the revolutionary task.

Kim Jong Un clarified the orientation of the building of our Party in the new era.

He made an analysis of the subjective and objective conditions of the Korean revolution and the present state of the party work. And he explained issues arising in boldly overcoming those old and backward hindering the party building and the development of the party work and building up the Party firmly in keeping with the new era not only by putting greater spurs to strengthening the whole Party without resting on our laurels but also by working with more accurate and effective methodology.

He said the greatest problem in strengthening the Party and implementing its programme of struggle at present is the lack of officials prepared to solve it. It is very important for the party cadre-training institutions, the Central Cadres Training School in particular, to discharge their responsibility and duty, he noted.

He also said how the Central Cadres Training School performs its duty is directly related to the prospective development of the Party and the future destiny of the revolution as well as the current party work. He mentioned tasks to brace up with new viewpoint and new determination and put the educational work on the level required by the Party and the revolution and thus provide a reliable guarantee to the strengthening and development of the Party and its bright future.

Kim Jong Un said the Central Cadres Training School of the WPK is the party school of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the true sense of the word and it is his dear party school. He made clear the intention of the Party Central Committee attaching importance to the Central Cadres Training School which should always share the destiny with the Party, an entity indispensable for the existence of the Party.

He expressed his resolve to regard the Central Cadres Training School arming and bringing up the reserves of the Party as a university superior to other universities and give backing to the party work, teaching administration and management of the school while actively supporting it so that it can be a model of the universities across the country in all aspects.

He expressed the belief that the Central Cadres Training School would train competent party officials and deft political activists who can be entrusted with future affairs in 50 years, nay 100 years, nay hundreds of years true to the Party’s idea on attaching importance to the party building and its policy on training reserves. He called for working hard for the new innovation of the work of training party officials and for the strengthening and development of the great Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Party and the victorious advance of the revolutionary cause of Juche.

When he wound up his lecture, the participants raised stormy cheers and gave a big hand, which shook the hall.
